With the shocking events being reported at stores across the country today, Tesco’s ‘Black Friday’ TV campaign is a seriously irresponsible piece of ‘advertising’ and the company should be penalised accordingly.
Particularly in the light of the fact that exactly the same thing happened at the same time last year: 2013 Black Friday bargain hunting frenzy descends into chaos
What a complete waste of police resources; what will it take to reassess and put a stop to this unedifying and ominous American custom. Serious injury, death? Sadly employees, consumers and police are all at risk.
This is crazy stuff, what has happened to us human beings, caught up in this frenzied consumer madness, WE NEED TO GET MINDFULNESS INTO TESCO’s….
BTW love the flacon, looking good!!
Best wishes Hannah
I agree with James. Why do we have to import the worst of America?
As bad as the store campaign is ,it says more about the customers. Heaven help us in a major emergency.
Thanks for your comments everyone. A bit of a rant I know but I’m not making apologies for it. I had considered taking the post down as it is not becoming of a ‘mindfulness instructor’ to ‘judge in this way. Just to be clear however my criticism is not of the consumer per se, but of the corporate and institutional zeal for creating the conditions for such acquisitiveness to flourish.
Providing limited stock at vastly reduced prices.
Better get your skates on (otherwise you’ll miss it)
Opening stores on the day in question at 12.01am
Its asking for trouble and organisations who have Black Friday tussles in their stores have to shoulder some of the responsibility for that.
