Mindfulness Based Social Media

2nd December 2011|Mindfulness Based Social Media
Home » Mindfulness Blog » Mindfulness Based Social Media » Mindfulness Based Social Media

The term Mindfulness Based Social Media was first coined by Marguerite Manteau-Rao in May 2010 and refers to the mindful, responsible, considerate and appropriate use of social media. Here’s what she has to say on the subject of MBSM.

It is a very hot topic in the US, so much so they are gathering to have a Silicon valley conference about it entitled Wisdom 2.0. So if you happen to be in the vicinity the date for your diary is 23rd – 26th February 2012

“Wisdom 2.0 has catalyzed I think the next wave of what is actually happening in Silicon Valley, this wave of awareness. People are realizing, ‘I have optimized my machines, my software…’ yet we are beginning to realize that no matter how great a technological device we buy or how great our network is, the real source of potential is in ourselves.”

- Chris Sacca, Venture Investor; Strategic Adviser, Twitter

“Wisdom 2.0 is, quite possibly, the most important gathering of our times.”

- Rich Fernandez, Ph.D., Director of Executive Development, Google

I’ll be teaching in London so no trip to sunny California for me.
