My Approach
I use a range of mindfulness-based approaches to deliver a highly structured, experiential mentoring program with a major emphasis on personal meditation practice and the cultivation of self-compassion. This creates a space for people to pause a little with their own lives, get out of their own way and start instead to appreciate the simplicity and richness of moment to moment experience.
The therapy is a blend of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) which are specifically designed to teach people practical skills that can help with life challenges and physical and psychological health problems.
Both MBSR and MBCT are commonly delivered in a group format over an eight week course, however the benefits of mindfulness based approaches are equally applicable to individual therapy, where personal issues can be explored in more depth and the process of self-enquiry can be allowed to unfold at a gentler and more fluid pace.
My aim is to provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment where the therapeutic process can flourish.
Fees and Structure
An initial interview /consultation will last 60 minutes and be charged at £50. Subsequent sessions are £70 per hour or £100 per 90 minute session. Length of sessions is determined in advance and by mutual agreement.
In order to provide a framework for the work, sessions will be weekly and scheduled for a regular day and time. I do understand that sometimes flexibility is required and in these instances I try my hardest to offer alternatives wherever possible.
